G-Score Terms of Service

Welcome to G-Score. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using G-Score, you acknowledge that:

• You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms
• You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
• You are at least 17 years old (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction)
• You will use the App responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws

2. Description of Service

G-Score is a mobile application that allows users to:

• Upload photos of Guinness pints
• Receive AI-powered scores based on the "split the G" technique
• Compete on global and friends leaderboards
• Discover and rate pubs
• Follow friends and interact socially

The App uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI GPT-4o Vision API) to analyze uploaded photos and provide scores for entertainment purposes.

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account using Google Sign-In
• You must provide accurate information and choose an appropriate username
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must not share your account with others

4. User Content

Ownership: You retain ownership of all photos, ratings, comments, and content you upload.

License: By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content for the purpose of providing the G-Score service. This includes sending photos to OpenAI for AI analysis.

Content Guidelines: You agree NOT to upload content that:

• Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or illegal activities
• Contains hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Depicts minors (under 17) consuming or near alcohol
• Is manipulated, edited, or falsified to cheat the scoring system
• Contains false or misleading information
• Is spam or contains malicious code

Content Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or refuse any content without notice. All uploaded photos are screened by AI for inappropriate content before scoring.

5. Scoring System & Usage Limits

AI Scoring:

• Scores are generated using AI analysis (OpenAI GPT-4o Vision) of your uploaded photos
• Scores are estimates and are for entertainment purposes only
• We do not guarantee score accuracy, consistency, or fairness
• Scores do not reflect actual measurement or scientific analysis

Usage Limits:

• You receive 20 scores in your first month, then 10 scores per month thereafter
• Limits reset on the first day of each month
• Usage limits are subject to change and may vary by subscription tier (if introduced)

Score Integrity:

• You must not attempt to manipulate, cheat, or exploit the scoring system
• You must only upload authentic, unaltered photos of real Guinness pours
• Duplicate submissions of the same photo are not permitted
• Violations may result in score removal, account suspension, or permanent ban

6. Pub Ratings

• Pub ratings must be honest and based on actual experiences
• You must not post fake, defamatory, or misleading reviews
• Pub information is provided by third parties (Google Maps) and we do not guarantee its accuracy

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or exploit the App
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools
• Encourage underage drinking or irresponsible alcohol consumption

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including design, code, and branding, is owned by us. "G-Score" is our trademark.

Disclaimer: "Guinness" is a trademark of Diageo Ireland. G-Score is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Guinness or Diageo.

9. Disclaimers

Responsible Drinking:

• G-Score is for entertainment and should not encourage excessive alcohol consumption
• You are solely responsible for your alcohol consumption and behavior
• Always drink responsibly, know your limits, and never drink and drive
• If you or someone you know has a problem with alcohol, please seek help

Third-Party Services: We rely on third-party services (Supabase, OpenAI, Google Maps). We are not responsible for third-party service failures, outages, or data breaches.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to changes, you must stop using the App.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts. For disputes under $10,000, you may choose small claims court in your local jurisdiction.
